Psychiatry
Dr. Marguerite French is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist. Dr. French has significant experience treating children, adolescents and adults. She has been in practice for over thirty years, had the opportunity to treat patients in multiple settings, and is well versed in the practice of telepsychiatry (telehealth). What is telehealth? Telehealth is the practice of medicine conducted via a video conference connection. A live, secure video connection is established between an offsite location (a clinic, doctor's office or home office) and a healthcare facility. A typical office visit is conducted except that the provider and the patient are not in the same physical location. Telehealth visits feel just like a “live” visit. You will have the same interactions with office staff, nurses, assistants and your provider. Providers may order tests, write prescriptions, or send you for a referral if needed. Telehealth visits allow you to see specialty providers on a consistent basis without having to travel far distances and receive high quality care in a timely fashion.
Education
Dr. French graduated from Howard University College of Medicine and completed her residency and fellowship at the University of Missouri.
